Himalayan Mountaineering Institute

Himalayan Mountaineering Institute was created in honor of Tenzing Norgay and Sir Edmund Hillary to climb the Everest in 1953. It is the main attraction of for adventure tourists. It also has museum (Timings: 9.00 am to 5.00 pm, Closed on Tuesday) which displays collection of models, paintings, sculpture, photographs, manuscript, autographs, books, mountaineering equipment belonging to famous mountaineers and other cultural belongings of hill folk.
