Opened in 1979, K.C.S Panicker gallery has the paintings and sculptures of Late Sri. K.C.S. Panicker on display. The gallery is situated adjacent to the Napier Museum office in Thiruvananthapuram.

Napier Museum and Natural History Museum, Thiruvananthapuram

Features

Named after Lord Napier, the Governor of Madras residency, the structure of the museum has its unique ornamentation and architectural style. The museum has rich collection of artistic, cultural and antique items such as bronze and stone sculptures, carvings of wood and ivory, lamps, textiles, handicraft items, traditional musical instruments, numismatic items, paintings and the idols. Natural History Museum located the zoological park complex has superb galleries such as the skeletal, bird, animal and taxidermy gallery. Photography is not allowed in the museum.

Sree Chitra Art Gallery, Thiruvananthapuram

Features

Sree Chitra Art Gallery was inaugurated by Chithira Thirunal Balarama Varma in 1935. The Art Gallery displays of important manuscripts and excellent paintings of well-known artists including Raja Ravi Verma, Nicholas Roerich, Svetoslav Roerich, Jamini Roy, V. S. Valiathan and K. C. S. Paniker.
