Purana Qila, Old Delhi


Purana Qila was built by Humayun and later extended by Sher Shah Suri on the site of Indraprastha which believed to be the capital of the Pandavas. It is the oldest fort of Delhi and even after ruin conditions, remains fine example of Mughal architecture. The important structures of the fort complex includes Qila-I-Kuhna Masjid, Sher Mandal the museum, Humayun Darwaza, Bara Darwaza and Talaqi Darwaza.
