Peermade, Idukki


Named after Sufi saint, Peer Mohammed, Peermade is hill station with 915 metres above sea level in the state of Kerala. The landscape attractions of Peermade includes spectacular waterfalls, open grass lands and pine forests. It was once the summer retreat of the Maharajas of Travancore. Major tourist spots of Peermade includes Thrissanku Hills, Panchalimedu, Grampi, Peeru Hills, Madammakkulam, Kuttikanam and Summer Palace.

Nearest airport is at Madurai with 130 km. Nearest railway station is at Kottayam with 81 km. Peermade is well connected by road to other major cities.
