Amreshwar Dham (Angrabadi Temple Complex), Ranchi

Features

Located in Khunti village, Amreshwar Dham is Hindu temple complex originally named as Angrabari temple and later renamed by the revered Hindu Seer Shankaracharya Swami Swarupananda Saraswathi. It is a temple consisting of the deity of Lord Shiva, Ram and Sita, Hanuman and Ganesh.

Deori Temple, Tamar

Features

Deori Temple is ancient Durga Devi temple dedicated to Goddess Solahbhuji Devi. The Pandavas are believed to have visited this place during their period of secluded exile. The feature of the temple is that the religious rituals are performed by the Pahans (tribal priests) along with conventional Brahmins.

Jagannathpur Temple, Ranchi

Features

Jagannathpur Temple was built by Thakur Ani Nath Shahdeo, King of Barkagarh during in the year 1691. The architecture of the temple is similar to the Jagannath temple of Puri. Located on the hill top, visitors can climb the stairs or take the vehicle route to reach the temple. The view of the Ranchi city from the top is breath-taking. The original temple was collapsed in 1990 but with the efforts of state government and devotees, the present temple is restored on 8th February 1992.

Pahari Mandir, Ranchi

Features

Pahari Mandir is dedicated to Lord Shiva and situated on the top of the hill known. One has to climb 300 steps to reach the temple on the top of hill. The main temple is of Lord Shiva and there are also temples such as Mahakaal mandir, Kali mandir, Vishwanath mandir, Hanuman mandir, Durga mandir and Naag mandir. At the bottom of the hill is Ranchi Lake excavated by Colonel Onsely in 1842.

Sun Temple, Ranchi

Features

Located on Ranchi Tata road, Sun temple is architecture landmark of the city in beautiful nature. It is built in the form of a Chariot with 18 wheels drawn by 7 life size white horses. It is surrounded by a pond which is used by devotees during Chhath Puja for worshipping of Sun God.
