Features

Located in the Umaria district of Madhya Pradesh, Bandhavgarh National Park is famous for natural habitant of tigers and historical importance. Other wildlife of the park includes the Sloth bear, jackal, hyena, langur, sambar, spotted deer, chowsingha, nilgai, chinkara etc. Wildlife safari can be taken from elephant or jeeps accompanied by forest guide. Other attractions nearby the park include the Bandhavgarh Fort, Vishnu statue, Badi Gufa, Three Cave Point, Sita, Mandap, Raj Behra and Chakradhara.

The park shall be closed during 1st July to 15 October. Safari Timings : Winter -07.30 am, 3.00 pm, Summer- 06.30 am, 4.00 pm,

How to reach

Nearest airport is Jabalpur with 200 km and Khajuraho with 250 km. Nearest railway station is Umaria with 35 km and Katni with 100 km. It is better to hire private vehicle from Jabalpur and other cities.
