Melghat Tiger Reserve, Amravati


Situated in the Satpura hill ranges of Amravati district, it was among first nine tiger reserves declared in India. Melghat is an abort of wild life which include 41 species of Mammals, 250 species of Birds, 24 species of Fish, 160 species of Reptiles and snakes and species of Lizard, amphibians etc. It is one of India's most important tiger breeding habitats.

How to reach

Nearest airport is at Nagpur airport. Nearest railway station is Badnera (Amravati) with 110 km and Akola. Private vehicles can be hired from Amravati, Akola and nearby cities.


30 km from Chikhaldara, 117 km from Amravati, 98 km from Akola, 260 km from Nagpur,.
