The Great Indian Bird, Bustard was first identified by Mr B.S.Kulkarni at Nannaj and taken significant efforts to save this rare bird. Great Indian Bustard Wildlife Sanctuary is spread over two districts such as Ahmednagar and Solapur in Maharashtra. Main species found here are Great Indian bustard, blackbuck, wolf, Indian fox, hyena, and common mongoose.
